Who We Are
The Julius Olufemi Abogunrin Foundation (JOA Foundation) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering the most vulnerable among us—girls, children, and individuals with disabilities. We believe that every person, regardless of gender, age, or ability, deserves a life filled with dignity, opportunity, and hope.
What We Do
We provide support through education, healthcare assistance, skill-building, advocacy, and community outreach. Whether it’s ensuring a girl stays in school, giving a child access to proper care, or supporting people with disabilities to live fuller lives—we are committed to making lasting change.
Our Vision
A world where every child thrives, every girl is empowered, and people with disabilities are respected, included, and supported.
Our Mission
To break barriers, create opportunities, and restore hope by uplifting underserved communities—one life at a time.
Why We Do It
Because we believe that when you help the overlooked, you transform not just a life, but an entire community.
The urge to help others should transcends one’s current situation, but in another way, may be contingent upon one’s personal experience and willingness. This simply means that if helping the needy should not only be done when it’s convenient, but because it is imperative we do it.
As Mahatma Gandhi puts it, “the best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others”. This is what JOA Foundation is about.
The JOA Foundation was unofficially founded in 2010 to provide help to prospective students, who have shown great willingness to be educated, but have evolved over the years.
At JOA Foundation, we believe every girl, child, and person with a disability deserves a life full of possibility, dignity, and hope. We are a passionate nonprofit committed to empowering the most vulnerable by breaking barriers, creating opportunities, and building brighter futures.
Through education, advocacy, and hands-on support, we champion the rights of girls, children, and individuals with disabilities, helping them rise above limitations and reach their full potential. Whether it’s a girl fighting for her right to go to school, a child in need of protection and care, or a person with a disability seeking inclusion—we stand beside them, every step of the way.
Guided by compassion, integrity, and a strong sense of social responsibility, we are committed to building a society where no one is marginalized or forgotten—a society where every voice matters and every potential is realized.
We don’t just respond to needs, we spark change. Together, we are rewriting stories, restoring hope, and reshaping communities—one life at a time.
Providing quality education to children in rural areas is our top priority. We offer resources, scholarships, and support to bridge educational gaps, empowering children with knowledge and opportunities to build a brighter, self-sufficient future.
